Ridgewood NJ, FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM EST THIS MORNING. Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. A portion of northeast New Jersey, including the following county, Bergen. Until 800 AM EST. Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – At 454 AM EST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms.
Flooding is already occurring in the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. – Some locations that will experience flooding include… Ridgewood, Glen Rock, Upper Saddle River, Ho-Ho-Kus and Saddle River. – http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
