Ridgewood NJ, Roy White long time NY Yankee Great: Two Time All Star & Member of 1977&78 World Series Championship Teams will sign: FROM COMPTON TO THE BRONX on Wednesday April 12th at 6pm.
Roy White is a former Major League Baseball player who spent his entire career with the New York Yankees from 1965 to 1979. He primarily played left field and was known for his consistent hitting, strong arm, and speed on the basepaths.
During his career, White was a two-time All-Star and won two Gold Glove Awards for his defensive play in the outfield. He was also a member of two World Series championship teams with the Yankees in 1977 and 1978.
Overall, White played in 1,881 games for the Yankees and finished with a career batting average of .271, 160 home runs, and 758 RBIs. He was known for his ability to hit for both power and average, as well as his patience at the plate and ability to draw walks.
