Franklin Lakes NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of ALLEN PEREZ (DOB: 10/13/1993; single; automotive technician) of 620 Franklin Lake Road, Franklin Lakes, New Jersey on charges of Aggravated Sexual Assault and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor. The arrest was a result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti and the Franklin Lakes Police Department under the direction of Chief Carmine Pezzuti.
On Saturday, March 6, 2021, the Franklin Lakes Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding an allegation that ALLEN PEREZ transported a child under the age of thirteen across state lines and engaged in sexual intercourse with the child. An investigation was initiated by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Franklin Lakes Police Department.
As a result of the investigation, on Monday, March 8, 2021, ALLEN PEREZ was arrested and charged with one count of Aggravated Sexual Assault, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2a(1), a 1st degree crime; and one count of Endangering The Welfare Of A Minor, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a a 3rd degree crime. ALLEN PEREZ was transported to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court.
Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
