Glen Rock NJ, Between April 6 and April 12, Glen Rock Police Department handled 296 calls for service including a high speed chase ending on Route 4 . On April 6 at 10:27 a.m., a Glen Rock police officer came across a 2019 Honda wanted by Wayne police for a mail theft. The officer tried to pull the Honda over on Route 208 South, and the driver of the Honda fled. The chase continued, sometimes in excess of 100 miles-per-hour, toward Route 4.
Thanks for putting the general public at risk for chasing some non-violent thief at 100 mph.
From a retired cop… ‘you can’t outrun a radio’. Just call the next town.
You guys watch too much ‘Cops’ on tv.
So very true why would you put yourself and others at danger for this. Real smart that’s all we can say. Do you remember 30 years ago when a Paramus police officer was in high speed pursuit, and he lost control and crashed and I believe he died. Yes there might of been some defaults with the Ford Crown Victoria. But if he wasn’t speeding over 100 miles an hour he would’ve been alive. We could understand if it was a kidnap or murder. We get it. But not this sorry. Use your radio first it’s safer don’t you want to go home after your shift.
Team Of Drivers Reportedly Beats ‘Cannonball Run’ Coast-to-Coast Record On Highways Empty Because Of COVID-19
.
With America’s roads emptied by stay-at-home orders related to the coronavirus pandemic, it seems one team took advantage of this once-in-our-lifetimes chance to set a new record for a cross-country sprint in an Audi A8L: 26 hours and 38 minutes
.
It sounds very embarrassing high speed pursuit chasing a Honda. I could see a high end sports car,
but come on please. As a taxpayer why are we paying our local law-enforcement to sit on highways. That should be conducted by the state police. Let’s keep our excellent law-enforcement in our towns on our Glenrock roads. We do not need them patrolling highways let’s: the state, it’s a state highway isn’t it. We have great local law-enforcement’s let’s keep them safe and healthy don’t worry about local enforcement.
The only thing faster than a Honda going 100 mph is the Judge letting him out without bail.
Is it me or all these retired civil servants a little cranky ?

If you are a retired cop, you probably were a lazy bag of crap or political hack. But I bet you are the first jerkoff to ask for “courtesy” to help out a family or friend. Two words brother “scum bag”. Enjoy your retirement in NJ loser.
Its all the cops fault until its your shit getting stolen, then please get it back using all means possible.. Hey you can always defend yourself . Oh wait you cant hahaha this is NJ… enjoy the show, you voted for it.
He was speeding, but it’s ok…. he was wearing a face mask, so it’s all good…
Let the local police handle local streets. Let the county handle county roads, and then light the state police handle state highways and the story. But the problem is no one gets along, right everyone’s on a power trip.
The old ‘retired’ cops had to actually work.
They didn’t have to depend on 5 other officers to back them up on a traffic stop with a woman.
They had to approach a vehicle on a stop without having a computer tell them the driver history
They had to be strong, tough, be able to act like a REAL man.
To the above pussy (probably a test-taker who couldn’t fight his way out of a paper bag), go back to the couch in your mommies basement, watch live-pd and Jerk off, put on your vest with 40 lbs of crap on it, go get a crew cut, but make sure you get 5 ‘brother officers’ to back you up before you get out of the squad car to write a soccer mom a ticket. She’d probably kick your pussy ass.
Most departments have policies in place that prohibit high speed chases.
Any small mind small town cop that pursues a shoplifter in a high speed chase should be terminated.
Apparently a short person napoleon attitude on the part of the cop that put innocent civilians at risk.
The NJ ATTORNEY GENERAL has guidelines specifically prohibiting these sorts of chases unless there is imminent danger to the public. why? the chases pose more risk to the public than the perp. The rule is to hand it off to the next jurisdiction. So yeah, the cop in question was an undisciplined cowboy
