Glen Rock NJ, a Glen Rock resident was revived after suffering a fentanyl overdose on Friday, thanks to the quick response of local police.
Officer Administers Three Doses of Narcan
Around 4:30 p.m., Officer James Donnelly responded to a call at Maple and Glen Avenues, where a man was found unconscious on the sidewalk near a resident’s bushes. Recognizing the signs of an opioid overdose, the officer quickly administered three doses of Narcan before the man regained consciousness.
“Upon being revived, the victim stated that he had snorted fentanyl,” police reported.
Medical Assistance Declined
EMTs and paramedics arrived to evaluate the man’s condition, but he refused transportation to the hospital or any further medical assistance, police said.
Per New Jersey law, the man was also provided with additional Narcan to prevent another overdose.
What is Narcan?
Narcan is the nasal spray version of Naloxone, a life-saving medication used to reverse opioid overdoses. With the rise of fentanyl-related incidents, law enforcement and first responders routinely carry Narcan to combat the ongoing opioid crisis.

I say we rebrand Ridgewood Water as the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Pure Mountain Spring of Equality Water, and maybe people will finally shut up about it.
is there not some kind of charge/violation for being passed out at 430pm in the bushes at a public intersection? The solution here was to give the man more antidote and a wave goodbye? That’s where we are now? My god.
I think the idea is less saving these degenerates and more about wasting your resources and degrading your communities by enabling continued degeneracy. Call me crazy.
