Glen Rock NJ, on the afternoon of June 23rd, following the last day of school, Glen Rock’s Crossing Guards were honored at a Luncheon courtesy of Victor Quinn at the Glen Rock Inn.
Adult school crossing guards, first established in Glen Rock during the early 1950’s, play an important role in the lives of our school children. They help them safely cross the street at key locations throughout the most heavily traveled roadways in the Borough.
This year, Glen Rock employed a record 33 regular and substitute school crossing guards deployed at 22 different locations each day.
Please join us in thanking them for their service to the school children of Glen Rock!
Crossing guards are the people that contribute to their communities in a real and meaningful way. Unlike other community members who simply put a sign in their front yard like “#blah-blah strong” or any of the many other variations.
Wow, they don’t treat the crossing guards in Ridgewood like that.
