To our Gold’s Gym Paramus Family,

It is with tremendous sadness to announce that after 28 years we will be closing our doors at Gold’s Gym Paramus on Tuesday, November 3rd at 8pm. We are heartbroken to have to make this decision as we worked very hard to get back open after an unprecedented 6 month shutdown. It was great to be able to open back up and help people again for the past 2 months but at this time we are regrettably unable to continue operating any longer.
While we are filled with a wide range of many emotions we choose to celebrate what was an amazing 28 years with the greatest staff, members and community anyone could ever ask for! We look back with pride and gratitude at the thousands of lives we have touched, the results our members have achieved and the many friendships that were made at the gym. We are especially proud of the community service and charity work we were able to perform as giving back to our community was always one of our top priorities from the day we opened our doors. We have always wanted to be known as a gym that makes a difference and we certainly hope that we were able to accomplish that goal and make a difference in your life.

We are lucky to have good working relationships with other gyms in the area and we are going to do our best to help find alternative employment for our staff and a landing place for our members. We will have more details to come on special arrangements at another facility as fast as we can. In the meantime, all membership billing will be discontinued automatically as of today. If you have any questions or if we can help you with anything, please email us at paramusnj@goldsgym.net and we will do our best to get back to you as soon as we can. For all refund requests, please email us within the next 14 days so we can start working on those for you. Please be patient with us as we navigate our way through this very difficult time we are going through.

We want to thank every single person who has ever walked through the doors of Gold’s Gym Paramus since May 26, 1992. We can’t thank our families and friends enough for always being there for us and for their unconditional love and support as we pursued our dream. We couldn’t have done it without the support of our incredible staff and amazing members and the entire Greater Paramus community. There are so many people to thank and way too many names to list but from the bottom of our hearts we say THANK YOU to all for being a part of The Gold’s Gym Paramus Family. It has truly been an honor and privilege to serve you.
We also want to say that we feel more strongly than ever that Gyms are Essential and Exercise is Medicine! Please continue to exercise regularly and to support your local gyms and all local businesses as your support is needed now more than ever.

Please stay safe and well everyone. We wish you and your families lots of health and happiness and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the past 28 wonderful years. We hope to see everyone again in the future!
With much love and appreciation,

Mike and Art and everyone at Gold’s Gym Paramus

  1. Another pillar of the community and essential service for health promotion, strangled to death by Murphy and his zombie party.
Thank you for the years of community service, and best of luck for the future, Mike, Art and the team.

  4. Fatty
    Get out and walk

  5. It’s amazing how many people are out walking, running, riding bikes, this is good get out and get fresh air.

  6. This upsets me no end. Mike’s brother is one of my closest friends and I have known Mike for nearly 30 years. Whenever I visit family in NJ (I live in AZ now) I would grab a couple of workouts there in Gold’s and loved that gym.
What a sad state of affairs we are in when tyrannical politicians on all levels of government – who themselves have not lost a penny in income – can tell owners who rely on that business’ income that they are “non essential.”
The time for talk is over….

  7. Another casualty of Fascist Phil Murphy … crushing as many businesses as possible like a good Deep State Puppet
