Ridgewood NJ, Over the last few weeks Jeff Voigt publicly slammed Mayor Knudsen for looking into complaints against the Financial Advisory Committee. He also implied our Mayor acted unjustly and had broken the law. However, he never gave specifics and failed to substantiate his allegations. As if that wasn’t enough, he then turned to social media and started a “behind closed doors” movement to talk about his beef with Mayor Knudsen.
Residents responded to his social media posts demanding transparency along with a public explanation and proof of his allegations. Jeff Voigt has yet to respond.
Residents response to Voigt’s public message, “You publicly berated the Mayor and implied that something illegal was going on. A PUBLIC explanation is due. Lies, bullying and back door talks will not be tolerated. PROVE IT OR RESIGN.”

Yup, he should resign. Enough is enough.
What is happening to him? He has become a nasty little man.

He’s easily isolated. It won’t be easy for him to maintain this kind of blather. No cover from his colleagues. The Three Amigos, by contrast, constituted a perpetual slander machine.
Give the guy a break. He is a new to the Council and needs to get adjusted to his new role as a Councilman. I don’t think he actually meant to verbally abuse Susan but his words simply blurted out by mistake.
He doesn’t need to adjust to his new role. He must prove the allegations or admit he was wrong. Accountability!!!

4:31. Good try. Not buying it. He has done this repeatedly and each time he adds more venom. No accidental slip of the tongue. No inadvertent blurt out. . If he had accidentally been nasty and lying then he would be regretful and he’d apologize
Jeff if you are reading this…who the hell fo you think you are. This is a great town…step down before the town takes acrion
4:31. Gave the guy a break. For that matter I gave him money and gave him a coffee and gave him my vote. Told all my friends to vote for him. And then he comes out of the gate shooting from the hip, interrupting Susan, trying to commandeer the meetings. He was terrible from the git-go. Many people tried to make him calm down. Many people. Via emails and phone calls and over coffee. He promised to cool his rhetoric but he did not. He has gotten worse and worse. It is blindingly clear that he hats Susan’s guts. That is his prerogative, but the question is WHY? He has repeatedly gone after her in a totally unprofessional manner using words best saved for the locker room, not the council chambers. He has not said anything by mistake or accident. He has attacked her repeatedly and often and now he has accused her of breaking the law. I am so sorry I supported this guy. He is absolutely insane.
Hmmm….I watched both clips.
I don’t have all the facts but I will guess that Knudsen inserted herself into a committee chaired by Voigt. This put Voight’s nose out of joint. I kind of understand Voigt’s annoyance but he loses all credibility using poor language.
Who is Bob Rooney. Never heard of him. Why is Knudsen gushing over this guy…?
Lastly, Voigt’s body language is horrendous. Pull the microphone closer to you and straighten up.
Bob Rooney is your village cfo…he was hired after the fac was formed so obviously their usefulness has decreased since he showed up on the scene. Clearly he is ticked, but she did not violate Faulkner and he does himself no favors but wrongly suggesting she has when he actually knows the truth.
