Ho-Ho-Kus NJ, during the January 23rd council meeting, Apprehension awards were presented to Det. Sgt. Balestrieri, Det. Santos, and Officer Kirk for their exemplary service.
Detectives Balestrieri and Santos were honored for their dedicated efforts in investigating and apprehending a local habitual offender responsible for multiple burglaries and home invasions in the area. The offender faced charges including 4 counts of burglary, 2 counts of theft, 2 counts of criminal trespass, and 1 count of criminal mischief.
Ho-Ho-Kus Police Officer Kirk was recognized for his diligence and sharp observations during an encounter with a female in a suspicious vehicle parked on Arbor Dr. The female was found in possession of multiple handbags and other items with security tags still attached. Subsequently, she was identified as a wanted fugitive from New York City and faced charges of receiving stolen property, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of heroin, resisting arrest, hindering apprehension, and being a fugitive from justice.

I hope they keep an eye on the HHK train station during mid morning commute where somebody clearly not from the area regularly shows strange behavior that can be concerning for passengers. It is giving the station the feel of NYC subway.
