River Edge NJ, On Saturday afternoon, a woman was fatally struck by an NJ Transit train near the New Bridge Landing station in River Edge.
The incident occurred around 4:45 p.m., and fortunately, none of the 120 riders and crew on the Pascack Valley Line train suffered injuries, as reported by an NJ Transit spokesperson.
The identity of the victim has not been disclosed, and the Pascack Valley Line rail service is temporarily suspended in both directions between Spring Valley and New Bridge Landing.
The investigation is being led by NJ Transit police.
