If we recall correctly, it was said in November that revising these chapters of the Village Code would be the new (“normal”) Council’s first order of business. What happened?
On the first day of July following each election of Councilmen, the Council shall organize by the election of a Mayor and adoption of such resolutions as may be required.
At 12:00 noon on the first day of July following each election of Councilmen, the Council shall assemble at Village Hall, organize and elect one of the Councilmen as Mayor. The Mayor shall be chosen by ballot by majority vote of all members of the Council. If the members shall be unable, within five ballots to be taken within two days of the organization meeting, to elect a Mayor, then the member who in the last election for members of the Municipal Council received the greatest number of votes shall be the Mayor. Should such person decline to accept the office, then the person receiving the next highest vote shall be the Mayor, and so on until the office is filled.
Additionally, as a result of moving the municipal election to November, this chapter now requires revision:
Election Day only parking reserved for physically handicapped drivers.

Now that they are all comfortably in office, this is no longer important to them.
Since Councilperson Winograd was personally responsible for changing the election date, she should be tasked with fixing the Village Code.
Get the bad hairdo to straighten it out since she messed it up.
The reorg timing was changed as part of the text changing the election date. Go back and look at the ballot measure.
Honest to god. The idiots are in control
Honest to God, the REAL idiots voted these idiots into office.
The Village Code was never changed. This was discussed by the Council in November. It was slated to be changed the first thing in January. It hasn’t been changed yet.
In any case, while important, it really just seems like a matter of housekeeping.
They are too busy schmoozing the developers to be worried about reorg details.
All I know is my friends go and talk to the mayor at any regular time at his place of business. No need to go to village wall, no need to leave any messages that will be screened. No need to leave your name talk in private believe me this is a good thing. Because in the past so many things been swept under the carpet in Village Hall and things don’t get done.
I haven’t seen the mayor at his restaurant in years.
Regarding “housekeeping” – If the “normal” ladies & men can’t even keep a neat house, what does that say about their ability to handle complex matters? Winograd broke it, so let her fix it.
Very dirty, the new council and the mayor’s restaurants bathroom. Who eats there?
