the staff of the Ridgewood blog
Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood blog has previously reported on a homeless woman with what appears to be a serious drinking problem who’s made repeated bogus 911 calls. She was arrested once again this week after she allegedly broke into the Ridgewood Public library. Ridgewood Police responded to a burglar alarm and reported that they found the 56-year-old woman in the library shortly after 2 a.m. on Thursday.
This person has become an habitual problem for the Ridgewood police , wasting valuable police resources . Given the current COVID-19 pandemic the word is that local police are getting fed up with the police chief seemingly getting her out of trouble on a regular basis. In fact so much so it is rumored that a video conference was held the other night regarding the relationship, with police getting angry over the situation.
We saw this individual downtown the other day, and she said something about her mother’s favorite restaurant in Ridgewood. Does her mother live in town?
To fucking bad…
The Mayors boys and the rest of the shovel leaning Barney Fifes have nothing else to do. Sorting out the town drunk IS their job. And the Chief is the boss. Don’t like it? Resign and move to another department in the state. What’s that?
Yea, I thought so.
Can we please not refer to someone with mental health issues as “the town drunk.”. We can do better than this.
The police had a gripe session on Zoom? Don’t like responding to calls involving a woman who is homeless and has a drinking problem?
If a job is that bad it’s time to look for a new one. Otherwise, whatcha gonna do on your 8 hour shift?
It is really not appropriate to refer to anyone as the “town drunk” in this day and age. This is supposed to be a publication.
I find it encouraging that people are defending this woman and the Chief’s treatment of her instead of attacking! This is someone that needs help and compassion. Throwing the book at her would make things worse. Those tired of responding could try finding appropriate resources for help. What if it was their mother, sister, or daughter? How would they want her treated?
