Good Morning Neighbor!
There’s been a lot of misinformation regarding this new Its2Big petition and so, to set the record straight, we’ve created a short video which should paint a clearer picture about why it’s so important that you should sign it. Please share it with everyone you know. Too many folks in town have been given misinformation regarding the petition and the local media is not presenting a balanced account about it.
As an addendum, if there was any question regarding the fact that this petition will be put on the ballot in November, unless our Village Council chooses otherwise, please read this statement.
Lastly, if there is any question in your mind regarding the disapproval of the current design by Father Ron at Mount Carmel, please feel free to contact Steve Belloise from the Archdiocese.

This was a great video. EVeryone should watch it.
I find it hard to believe that with current software availcbility our architects cannot provide scaled images of the garage in the neighborhood. Really, they can’t figure out how to do this? Maybe we have the wrong architects.
If they could not produce the drawings then they should have built a scaled model.
Just admit you dont want a garage. It would be much better for democracy. This pattern of raising one objection and then switching to another is annoying and counter productive.
Well done, ladies. Even though I disagree with the basic premise that we “need” this thing, your alternative is a good one. And, I certainly agree with 7:17. Between this garage, the HDH issue, and the Valley expansion discussion, which has the potential to be the most damaging to the entire town of all three, Ridgewood is actually going backwards instead of forward.
When your in a street fight with creepy untruthful elected representatives and their lk..merchants developers..you have to wheel out the hard fact so that honest people can see that change in leadership and transparency is needed. Its our Town, not the merchant and multi family over developers..
100 million a year in taxes spend for our Schools.thats a growing fact.
We the citizens don’t want to be Englewood,Madison or any other town and community but Ridgewood.
When the garage is built, I hear parents advising their kids to park outside where it is safe.
There is a heroin epidemic, I wouldn’t want my loved ones parking inside there at night. Even without heroin epidemic , I wouldn’t my loved ones parking in there. Outside in the open is much safer.
Don’t worry Roberta and the FAB said that it will pay for itself even with the extra security. I hear the Village may rent out the top floor for roof top dinning to defray and extra costs for security.
Extra security every minute will cost a fortune. It will NEVER pay for itself. How ridiculous to build a garage and need extra security and make the neighborhood off putting and dangerous instead of delightful as it is now.
So that I will eat at Greek to Me and buy crap from Mango Jam. Ya gatta be kidding.
Brian, why don’t you just admit that you are a couch potato crank
10:19, rooftop dining, and those who disagree with the triumvirate will be shoved off the edge.
What a waste of time. Just build the dam thing.
Two years in .it will be a slum…
I never shop at Mango Jam (crap, crap and more crap) but I love TAKE OUT from It’s Greek to Me. But since there will be less on street parking near Paulies place, and I am not parking a garage to pick up my take out, it’s bye-bye for me. I wonder if the restaurants have actually thought about the loss of their regular take-out customers like me who are in every week, week after week.
Well 10:06 I think with as much influence that Paul the Greek has in town he will have a special take out only parking space right in front of his place. This space will be located right between the planters .
But my passenger can’t get out between the planters!
Your passenger doesn’t have to get out of the car 10:42. I think Paul the Greek has asked for the green paint that was used for the bike lane at the underpass to be used to stripe the area between his planters as a deducted pick up area so his employees can walk unobstructed to your vehicle to deliver your food.
Like the hotel California…you can check into that slum making non conforming Garage.,.but you might never leave ( alive or not assaulted).
This Garage is a complete boondoggle.and VOR we are on the Hook for operating losses, lawsuit awards and legal expenses /insurance increases
And urban renewal tear down in 2025 to re establish the Cafe district that we have today,..brochure will contain a flashback to 2017..people walking in town..casually buying wine and deserts on the way to from a casual dining and shopping experience.Be careful what they ask for VOR taxpayers..we pay so that they might profit and exploit the apathy of our neighbors..what a disgrace…
It’s all Greek to all of us..just say why and then say No
