Ho-Ho-Kus NJ, late Saturday night, on July 6th, an unusual accident occurred when a Jeep Wrangler found itself stuck on NJ Transit tracks in Ho-Ho-Kus. The incident took place as the driver attempted to exit Dalebrook Industrial Park at 1 Hollywood Avenue.
The Incident
Despite its high ground clearance, oversized tires, and all-wheel drive, the late-model Jeep was unable to free itself from the tracks. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in connection with the crash.
Rescue Operation
A flatbed tow truck was called to the scene to lift the stranded Jeep off the tracks. The Ho-Ho-Kus Fire Department attended to a minor fluid spill caused by the crash once the vehicle was removed.
Safety Measures
Following the incident, a NJ Transit track inspector cleared the tracks for train use, ensuring that there were no further disruptions. NJ Transit confirmed on their website that no train delays were reported as a result of the accident.
Responding Units
The Ho-Ho-Kus Police Department and NJ Transit Police Department also responded to the scene, working together to manage the situation effectively.
