  1. Thank God, Jeff is running for Council!!!!

  2. Wonderful video. Thank God we live in a place like Ridgewood. Let’s treat it with the reverence it deserves. Thank you Voigt. Walsh & Hache, I have hope for our Village!

  3. A truly Genuine message of what living in Ridgewood is all about. That’s the real Gem of Ridgewood – Quality living. Thank you for the beautiful video. Voigt, Walsh & Hache for Ridgewood.

  4. I’d like it better if God were left out of it. Separation of church and state and guess what, not everybody believes in god. In my opinion that was a cheesy way to begin AND end the video, and not necessary.

  5. Agree with 1:27, the man sounds very likable and qualified, but i would prefer to keep religion out.

  6. 1:27pm, and 2:10pm. The man is religious. He doesn’t hide that. He is not asking you to change your religious beliefs.

    1. whether you are religious or not , you should be grateful to live in such a nice place with so many opportunities

  7. I’m not familiar with the word opportunities James, what are opportunities, or did you mean opportunities?

    1. sorry fixed it try again

  8. The statement “There are no atheists in foxholes” is an aphorism used to argue that in times of extreme stress or fear, such as during war (“in foxholes”), all people will believe in, or hope for, a higher power (and there are therefore no atheists).

  9. Nice video. Agree there were a few too many god references but whatever.
I did notice lots of different races represented in the video…VERY different from say 100 years ago.
My point is Ridgewood has evolved and changed over time. Part of that evolution has been an influx of different races and cultures. I personally think this is great. The one common denominator over the years has been high socioeconomic status among the majority of the Village residents. I’m sorry but I don’t see that changing very much (if at all) with a few high density housing complexes or the Valley expansion. High density can be high cost and Valley is increasing their bed count by 3 if I’m not mistaken.
Anyway, I’d be curious to know what Mr. Voigt would put up at the Brogan, Ken Smith and Village Garage sites.
Boarded up car dealers and superfund cleanup sites don’t conger up thoughts of “Thank God I live in a place like Ridgewood” in my mind.

  10. Well, I thank God to live in a place like Ridgewood! Whether you thank God or your lucky stars, the point is to be thankful. The last 4 years have been headed in a direction of overdevelopment and fundamental changes that will forever change the Village. It’s time to redirect that vision to a vision that encompasses what all residents want, not developers, politicians or business owners.

  11. Thank God you’re rich, and don’t have to live near poor people. Be happy your biggest problem is how many levels should the parking garage be. This town is really dropping the ball, and it’s time to vote some voters off the island.
