Upper Saddle River NJ ,in another case of Democratic immunity ie “white privilege” the League of Conservation Voters (LCV) Action Fund endorsed United States Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-05) for reelection. With more than two million members across thirty states, LCV is one of the most prominent environmental advocacy organizations in the country.
“During his time in Congress, Representative Josh Gottheimer has made combating the climate crisis and protecting the environment, especially clean water, top priorities,” said LCV Action Fund Senior Vice President of Government Affairs Tiernan Sittenfeld. “As a member of the Climate Solutions Caucus, he has worked to reach bipartisan agreement on these critical issues. He introduced his Five-Point Green Action plan to ensure concrete steps are being taken to mitigate the effects of climate change. We are proud to support him for reelection.”
“Josh Gottheimer stands up for the health and safety of the residents of New Jersey,” said New Jersey League of Conservation Voters Executive Director Ed Potosnak. “He is willing to reach across the aisle to solve issues that affect all New Jerseyans and all Americans, including reducing lead in drinking water through his enacted Lead-Free Schools Act and work to get PFAS out of our taps, reducing industrial pollution, and cleaning up contaminated sites. We are thrilled that LCV Action Fund is endorsing Josh for Congress so he can continue to fight for New Jersey’s environmental values,” Potosnak concluded.
“I am honored to be endorsed by the League of Conservation Voters,” said Josh Gottheimer. “As the father of two young children, it is critical that we protect our air and water, safeguard our open spaces, stop offshore drilling, and fight toxic dumpers and climate change. My Five Point Green Action Plan does just that. As I’ve seen first-hand in the Climate Solutions Caucus, protecting our environment and our families’ futures should be something all of us — regardless of political party — come together to support.”
