League of Women Voters of Ridgewood to Host Candidate Forums Ahead of the November Election

Ridgewood NJ, the League of Women Voters of Ridgewood will be hosting two candidate forums ahead of the November 2nd election.

The first is on Thurs, Oct. 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the Ridgewood Education Center for the Board of Education (BOE). Incumbents Sheila Brogan, Cristopher Kaufman, Hyunju Kwak are up for re-election. Susan Madison and Muhammad Mahmoud are also running. There are three available spots for full, three-year terms.

On Wed. Oct. 20, a forum will be held for the Village Council term vacated by Bernadette Walsh.

Melanie Hooban and Paul Vagianos are both vying for the spot. The forum will be held at 7:30 p.m. at Village Hall.

Both forums can be attended live, or viewed on Channel 33 with Fios. The BOE forum can be viewed live on the district’s site, and the Village Council’s forum can also be streamed on the village’s site. Both will be archived and can be viewed at a later time.
