Ridgewood NJ, On this National Day of Prayer amid unprecedented and uncertain times with the Coronavirus outbreak, Family Theater Productions invites families and individuals around the world to join together to pray the Rosary on Sunday, March 15, 2020. Led by Father David Guffey C.S.C, executive producer of PRAY: The Story of Patrick Peyton and national director of Family Theater Productions, this virtual live prayer event will take place to bring thousands of families together to pray the Rosary.
“I invite every home – whole families, single people, the homebound – and everyone everywhere to join us for the praying of the Holy Rosary which we will broadcast live via the Family Theater Productions Facebook page at 4:00 p.m. PT (6:00 p.m CT/7:00 p.m. ET),” said Father Guffey. “The Rosary is a powerful prayer that centers on the Gospel of Jesus Christ, meditating on His life, His promises and the things of Heaven, through the intercession of Mary, the Mother of God. Our founder Father Patrick Peyton inspired the great phrase, ‘The Family That Prays Together Stays Together.
Right now when everyone may feel alone, isolated and anxious with the bombardment of developing news and various precautions to shelter in place, self-quarantine and the mandate to stay home, we want to bring people together to form an online family of prayer and remind families everywhere that they are not alone.”
The virtual Rosary will be prayed from the Venerable Patrick Peyton chapel at Family Theater Productions in Hollywood.
“If you are a regular Rosary devotee or you have never prayed a full Rosary, I encourage you to join us. Do not be intimidated by the unknown or whether you remember how to pray the Rosary. Learn as you go. Rekindle your devotion and then bring this prayer to your entire family. In the words of Father Patrick Peyton, ‘A world at prayer is a world at peace.”
Log on to the Family Facebook page at 4pm PT (6pm CT/7pm ET). We invite you to use the hashtags #TheFamilyThatPraysTogetherStaysTogether #NationalDayOfPrayer and #AworldAtPrayerIsAWorldAtPeace
