Tenafly NJ, a devastating fire broke out Thursday morning on Cameron Road in Tenafly, causing significant destruction to a single-family home. Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene to battle the raging flames.
Woman Injured in Tenafly House Fire
At approximately 11:44 a.m., the Tenafly Fire Department received a 911 call reporting a house fire on Cameron Road, situated between West Clinton Avenue and Somerset Road. Firefighters from Dumont, Englewood, and Cresskill provided mutual aid in containing the inferno.
One resident, a woman living in the home, was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Capt. Michael deMoncada of the Tenafly Police Department.
Fire Cause Under Investigation
Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the fire. Officials continue to investigate while ensuring the area remains secure.
Road Closures & Emergency Response
Due to ongoing efforts by the Tenafly Fire Department, vehicle access to Cameron and Somerset Road will be limited for several hours. Residents are advised to avoid the area.
Emergency personnel from the Tenafly Public Works Department, Tenafly Volunteer Ambulance Corps, and paramedics from Englewood Hospital also responded to the scene, providing crucial support during the crisis
