Teaneck NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announces the following updated information regarding an apartment fire at 850 Palisade Avenue in Teaneck, NJ that occurred on Monday, February 19, 2024. The investigation is being conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Acting Chief Matthew Finck and the Teaneck Police Department under the direction of Chief Andrew McGurr.

Fire Fighters Rescue Occupant in Teaneck Apartment Fire

Teaneck NJ, on January 2nd, members of the Teaneck Fire Department 2nd Platoon responded to 34 State Street, on a reported fire on the 5th floor, with a possible occupant still inside. First arriving units were able to confirm no occupants were in the apartment.
Because of the high life safety risk, Englewood Fire and City of Hackensack Fire Department Ladders were requested to the scene. Members put the aerial to the roof to assist with ventilating the top floor fire. Englewood Fire Truck 2 and Car 4 operated for approximately one hour.

No Injuries Reported at Hackensack Taco Bell Fire

Hackensack NJ, on Sunday July 10th 2nd platoon operated at 500 South River Street Taco Bell for a fire in the cockloft. Hackensack Fire Companies work extensively to open up the exterior wall and the roof area to contain the fire. Fire was brought under control in 45 Minutes. Englewood Fire, Teaneck Fire  and Bogota Fire assisted at the scene. No injuries reported Fire is currently under investigation.
