Wood-Ridgewood NJ, on March 9, 2024, two individuals from New York were apprehended following a month-long investigation into multiple package thefts from the Avalon Bay Community at Wesmont.

After receiving numerous reports of package thefts, including parcels from major carriers such as Amazon, UPS, and FedEx, the Wood-Ridge Police Detective Bureau, under the leadership of Captain Joseph Biamonte, initiated an inquiry. Detective David Marchitelli spearheaded the investigation, which involved surveillance, gathering video surveillance footage, and conducting interviews with victims. Through diligent efforts, the suspect’s identity and location were uncovered, leading to the acquisition of a search warrant for an apartment within the Avalon Bay complex.

At the scene, Ahlon Glenn, 30, from Queens, NY, and Devin Goss, 30, from the Bronx, NY, were apprehended. Additionally, several credit cards, identifications, birth certificates, social security cards, and debit cards belonging to potential victims were recovered during the search.

Following processing at the Wood-Ridge Police Headquarters, both suspects were transported to Bergen County Jail. They face multiple charges, including theft, receiving stolen property, possession of a credit card skimming device, and theft of credit cards. The case will be adjudicated at the Central Judiciary Processing Court in Bergen County.
