Moonachie Man Arrested for Sexual Assault on an Underaged Child

Little Ferry NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of FRANKLIN GOMEZ-PAREDES (DOB: 10/27/1993; single; office coordinator) of Moonachie, NJ on sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child charges. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Little Ferry Police Department under the direction of Chief James Walters.

On Saturday, January 1, 2022, the Little Ferry Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office regarding the alleged sexual assault of a child younger than 13. An investigation was initiated by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Little Ferry Police Department. During the investigation, it was determined that the victim was sexually assaulted by FRANKLIN GOMEZ-PAREDES.

As a result of the investigation, on Saturday, January 1, 2022, FRANKLIN GOMEZ-PAREDES was arrested in Paramus, NJ and charged with first-degree attempted aggravated sexual assault, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2a(1); second-degree sexual assault by contact, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2b; and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a. GOMEZ-PAREDES was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.

Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and he would like to thank the Little Ferry Police Department for its assistance with the investigation.
