Little Ferry NJ, a concerning incident unfolded in Little Ferry on Tuesday when a car driven by a teacher collided with the side of a school catering to adults with developmental disabilities. The accident, which occurred outside The New Jersey Expanding Capabilities Center on Chamberlain Road, has prompted questions about safety protocols and measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Little Ferry Nj, according to Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco on September 29th in 1985, historic Gethsemane Cemetery, the final resting place of over 500 African Americans, was rededicated with a formal ceremony. The process to get there started several years earlier when efforts began to secure the deed to the land. The County of Bergen, Bergen County NAACP, and Bergen County Historical Society worked together to create a roadmap to preserve the property, overseeing sensitive cleanup projects and conducting the research that informs our understanding of the site today.

Little Ferry Nj, according to Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco , in honor of Juneteenth, the County’s Division of Cultural & Historic Affairs (DCHA) under the County’s Department of Parks will open the County-owned historic site Gethsemane Cemetery in Little Ferry from Saturday, June 17th to Monday, June 19th from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. for self-guided tours. Continuous shuttles will be provided to Gethsemane from Overpeck Park on Saturday, June 17th.

At 11:15am City Hackensack Fire Department Ladder 1 and Deputy 1 responded to 37 Woodland Ave Little Ferry on mutual aid house fire. Hasbrouck Heights responded with Chief 60, Chief 62, and Ladder 1 as a fast team.

Little Ferry NJ, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Little Ferry Police Department investigated a homicide that occurred at 7 Sand Hill Court in Little Ferry on Tuesday, March 22, 2022. At approximately 4:00 p.m., the Little Ferry Police Department received a 911 call from 7 Sand Hill Court reporting that an occupant of the residence was the victim of a stabbing. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Omelly Domiguez, a 21-year-old female, deceased from a gunshot wound. A suspect has been taken into custody, and no other individuals are believed to have been involved.

Little Ferry NJ, The Bergen County Board of County Commissioners passed a resolution on Wednesday, February 2 which approved the disbursement of $750,000 in HOME Program funds. In addition to the Bergen County Division of Community Development, other funding sources for the project include the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency, the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York, and N.J. State tax credits that incentivize the development of needed senior low income housing. This development will be one of the largest senior housing complexes constructed in Bergen County in a decade. The complex will be contained in a single three story building with an attached parking lot, lobby, community room, an on-site superintendent, walkable paths, gardens, and outdoor seating areas.
