Multi Town Serial Package Thief Arrested by Hackensack Police

Hackensack NJ, Between June 2023 and November 2023, Hackensack Police Officers responded to several apartment complexes on Polify Road and State Street on reports of thefts of packages from the buildings. Detective Panagiotis Seretis of the Detective Bureau conducted a follow up investigation. As a result of his investigation, on February 20, 2024, KADIEN JACKSON was arrested without incident.

He was charged with 5 counts of third degree burglary / N.J.S.A 2C:18-2A(1), 3 counts of third degree theft / N.J.S.A 2C:20-3A, 2 counts of fourth degree criminal mischief / N.J.S.A 2C:17-3A(1), and a disorderly persons offense of criminal trespass / N.J.S.A. 2C:18-3A.
JACKSON was processed and transported to the Bergen County Jail on a warrant pending his first appearence at Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.
These charges are merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

    The punishment: cut one of his hands off.

    If he reoffends (which is likely), then cut the other hand off.

    This shall serve as a strong deterrent to theft.
