Hackensack NJ, National POW/MIA Recognition Day is observed each year on the third Friday of September to recognize those who have been taken prisoner of war or gone missing in action in service to our country. May we all reflect on this solemn day their sacrifice for our nation and until every member of our military returns home, we hold them in our hearts and keep their loved ones in our thoughts and prayers.

The County held a ceremony on POW/MIA DAY to recognize the American service members who have been captured or gone missing while actively serving our country. We hope and pray that all of them are returned home to their loved ones. We stand in support of their families and friends, recognizing the especially difficult grief that comes without answers or resolution. We remain forever grateful for their service to these United States .
