Ridgewood NJ, ,it does appear from recent OPRA requests that the Village harassed a resident who objected to Health Barn USA plan by calling DEP on them and conducting numerous property maintenance inspections.

The attached documents, obtained late Friday afternoon, February 26, 2016, in response to an Open Public Records Act (OPRA) request dated February 3, 2016, clearly identify who it was that “dropped a dime” on your family.

It’s all public information available to anyone who submits an OPRA request.  You may wish to share this with your friends and neighbors.

We have also filed an OPRA request with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection just to see if anything additional turns up.

It certainly is a shame that your speaking out in opposition to an irrational plan proposed by the Village Council “majority” triggered what appears to be nothing more than a vindictive series of trumped up code enforcement actions directed at your property.

  1. The homeowner built a wall and planted shrubs on public property?

  2. Its all just a coincidence. My ass. This is the how of elected council and their Village Manger do business. Is this the way the Breath of Fresh Air Village Manager did it in the private sector. Gwenn should also add to her long list of accomplishments that she also has compiled a HIT LIST for any residents that disagree with me. This is what Ridgewood has become under the control of the councill majority and the hand picked VM.

  3. Absolute disgrace…thank god I moved out. Do you have any idea how stupid you people look?

  4. Did they Gwenn or is 9:13. Did they get a summons or will it be mailed to them 3 months later like theLeaf tickets?

  5. LOOK AT THIS PHOTO. REALY LOOK AT IT, WELL WHAT DO U THINK THEY ARE THINK OF. WELL, YEAH WE ALL SEE IT.
    DO U.

  6. I looked at the memos, not the photo. It seems that a neighbor has made changes to village property.

It worked for a resident of Fairmont about 10 years ago. He did not like the esaement next to his home so he began landscaping the village property it and stopped children from cutting through on the way to Willard. Eventually the village let him have the extra property.

    It worked once.

  7. The 3 amigos and their henchmen/henchwomen are small, vindictive people. Elections can’t come soon enough.

  8. You cannot encroach on property that you do not own. Period.
I simpathaze with abutters to this disaster by they should get a survey. That would be the answer

  9. It was reported that homeowners who displayed “Save our Schedler” lawn signs last fall received leaf summonses at a higher rate in the same neighborhoods than those who did not display the signs. Another coincidence comrade Petrov?

  10. I hope these people have a good lawyer and the balls to say no f’in way.

  11. This family had no trouble with the town until the wife spoke at a meeting in September. Then all of a sudden the gloves came off. No coincidence I say. What a vindictive bunch.

  12. Well, we all heard Gwenn shouting TAUNTS at a resident of the Habenickel area who spoke at a meeting last fall. Gwenn was like a middle school mean girl, just hilarious if it weren’t so pitiful. Wonder if the recipient of those taunts was the homeowner here. Gwenn will ride her big gas-guzzling SUV over anyone who dares speak against her.

  13. July 1 cannot come soon enough. It is disgraceful that any citizen is targeted or taunted for speaking up. Just four more months and the terrrible trio will be gonzo

  14. I don’t know why that park is called Habernickel park. I could understand if the family donated the property to the town, but since the town paid for it I think Ridgewood should come up with a better name.
