the staff of the Ridgewood blog
Ridgewood NJ, beginning January 1, 2022, each household is limited to putting out a maximum of 7 items on bulk pickup day. This will reduce the amount of bulk refuse being put into the landfills, which will save the Village money. We request that you consider donating usable items to a non-profit or charity. One person’s trash is another person’s treasure. If you have more than 7 items to be picked up, you may request a special pick up from the Village, by calling 201-670-5579. An extra fee will be charged for the special pick up, per Village ordinance.
The week of December 26th, the Recycling Center will be open Monday through Thursday, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The Recycling Center will be closed on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, due to the Christmas and New Year’s holidays.
If you have more than 7 items, put them in front of your neighbor’s place (after getting permission)
Problem solved.
Another ‘solution in search of a problem’.
This is. Total joke. These towns need to stop spending money and manage their finances appropriately. Decreasing services with increasing taxes is a recipe to throw the bums out.
Do you think they give a hoot.
They don’t. So bring it to the recycling yard.
Lazy people stop being a pack rat . It’s amazing that so many people have their homes full of shit.
All BS. Why not limit the number of covid vax shots and we can eradicate it? Or cut down on the number of parking spaces to eliminate traffic in the CBD? We can shut off water to homes that use more than 100 gallons per day since we own the utility! We can fix everything by reducing.
It sounds like the council doesn’t care about the residents
“If you have more than 7 items, put them in front of your neighbor’s place (after getting permission)”
Ah, now you’re suggesting RECYCLING FRAUD!
They’ll create a new position to replace the tree supervisor and make an example of a few folks.
” We can fix everything by reducing.”
Maybe the new JOLT council member can show his originality by coming up with the unique expression “Do MORE with LESS.”
What a mess, people need to Find the garbage better
Every day the once great and desirable Ridgewood sucks more and more…
So true.
Talk about over rated town.
Okay, so I have 11 pieces of heavy garbage to put out on the curb.
Starting next week and I can only put 7 items out on the curb.
I’ll talk to my neighbor and she’ll let me put 4 items out on her curb. Wink wink.
Problem solved.
Not for nothing but some of your people have so much debris all around your house, your garage is so filled you can’t even put a bicycle inside. I could imagine what’s in your attic and basements. How much stuff garbage to people really safe. No one wants your moldy dirty dusty garbage. Clean your house
the once village is long gone, long time mismanaged, services poor at best & now emerging as a city
the “village” is long gone, emerging as a city, services poor at best, lost a hospital & waiting for the thousand more apts, garages & skyscrapers.
