MAHWAH NJ, Today, New Jersey District 5 Republican Congressional Candidate Frank Pallotta issued the following statement on Josh Gottheimer’s Endorsement of Mike Bloomberg for President:
“In his second attempt at a Presidential endorsement, Josh Gottheimer today joined New Jersey Democrats in selling out to billionaire Mike Bloomberg. Gottheimer has aligned himself with a corporate authoritarian who wants to tell us what to eat, what to drink, and what to think. He has pledged to raise taxes and has made dehumanizing and demoralizing comments about our minority communities, while belittling the small businesses and rural farmers who are the backbone of America.
Bloomberg has trampled on our Bill of Rights, and as his past words and actions have proven, would undo the historic criminal justice reforms enacted by President Trump. In the era of #MeToo, Mike Bloomberg has a documented history of sexual harassment in the companies he owns – kept quiet through the use of coercive Non-Disclosure Agreements. Here’s another example of Josh Gottheimer – much like his impeachment vote – promising to do one thing, only to embarrass our district in the end.”
Dear Frank,
You are worried about Bloomberg being making “demoralizing comments about our minority communities” from decades ago but at the same time you are silent about the following comments being made last week right here in Saddle River in our District 5: ————————————-“This landmark settlement agreement will give working families, particularly people of color, the chance to move into one of America’s wealthiest towns,” said Fair Share Housing Center Executive Director Adam Gordon. ————————————
Let’s be serious. If you want to represent District 5 you MUST address problems facing District 5 not problems facing Washington DC. President Trump can handle Bloomberg himself. With all due respect I don’t think he needs any help from you.
I wish you 100% of luck but let’s try to work together on fixing Apple Ridge problems, Ridgewood problems and new problems emerging in 07458 zip code. And then after you help fixing local problems you can successfully run for the congressman position. Just my 2 GreenUSR cents…
