“What about the old taxi stand on North Broad Street. The village owns that building, and it’s in so much disrepair. It’s actually embarrassing for the Village of Ridgewood to have that eyesore in the CBD. Waking around that building it’s ridiculous but it looks like it’s filthy no one has operated the first floor in probably 30 years. Are used to be Ridgewood taxi downstairs and then they moved upstairs the whole building needs to be got it out and restored the village owns that site. It would be a great site for the Ridgewood Police Department to have a central headquarters in the CBD. I think it would make a Great public relations please/fire/emergency services something like that why not. Yes It’s small inside but I think it will be good for an office.”

  1. This will be the next boondoggle for the taxpayers to suffer in cost and contractors up billing of the
towns taxpayers /Lets pass on this idea.

  2. So this reader wants to spend more money to refurbish this building and bring it up to code so a police officer can sit there? What’s wrong with this person?

  3. Guess what the village owns the site. So either way if they are going to dump money into this building and restore it. Yes they can recoup some of the funds from rents but not much. The ground floor has been empty for 30 years, imagine that. Ridgewood actually moved from the ground floor to upstairs in 1989. Oh yes. And to top it all off they weren’t even paying rent. They were using the barter system. Oh yes before we had the senior citizen bus. Who do you think was transporting the best generation of all time. Remember people, I know where the skeletons are .and I No put them there. Do you think Watergate with something please.

  4. Either way the building needs to be repaired. You can’t leave it like that it’s an eyesore. And to top it off I’m sure it’s registered under landmark. What are we supposed to do just let it crumble .

  5. “Remember people, I know where the skeletons are .and I No put them there. Do you think Watergate with something please.” Oh please give it a rest. What are you some low tier employe who think he or she knows some great secrets that no one else knows. When are you going to let all these great skeletons out? Why don’t just tell your story walking. Watergate are you kidding me. What are you 12?

  6. “Low tier employee”?
Yes, you are a Ridgewood asshole…just so much better than the rest of us rank and file.

  7. Maybe they can relocate their private firing range there, too? Bit redundant for a police force that has never discharged a weapon in Uber-wealthy Ridgewood.

  8. Hahaha’ it worked You dummy hook line and sinker. I live in Paramus, and work in New York. I love it . It seems that you’re worried.

  9. Yea ok Dr. Phil its your lie tell it anyway you want to. “Low tier employee”? Your reaction to the post shows me that you are exactly that. Some little guy in the village work force who think he has dirt on everyone but never comes forward with that information. Just a big blowhard hiding behind cute names when he post.

  10. You the dummy living in Paramus in your mother basement.

  11. As a retired old man. It seems that someone got under someone else’s skin. Right Mr. tier
