Trenton NJ A new plan to create a drivers license for undocumented immigrants living in New Jersey and other people who can’t produce documentation proving who they are.
The legislation sponsored by Assemblywoman Annette Quijano D-Union, and state Sen. Joe Vitale, D-Middlesex, which calls for allowing New Jerseyans to either get a Real ID driver’s license that will permit individuals to board an airliner or enter a federal building, or what is being termed a “standard” license that would not require the standard “six points” of identifying documents.

Drivers license for undocumented immigrants living in New Jersey and other people who can’t produce documentation proving who they are, what could possible go wrong with that ?

As a reminder to those who seem to forget so easily the 9/11 terrorists had obtained U.S. identification that was used for boarding flights in the form of Florida, Virginia, California and New Jersey driver’s licenses/ID cards. One of the terrorists, Mohamed Atta, was detained in Florida for driving without a license, but subsequently obtained one. Thirteen of the terrorists had Florida driver’s licenses or ID cards, seven had Virginia driver’s licenses, at least two had California licenses and two had New Jersey driver’s licenses. According to the March 28, 2002 Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Robert Thibadeau, director of Carnegie Mellon’s Internet Security laboratory, says that “the 19 terrorists on Sept. 11 were holding 63 state driver’s licenses for identification.”

  1. What happened the point system

  2. So to break this down an United State citizen has to show 6 points of id to get a Jersey driver license but Illegal aliens do not.

  3. This is on believable what the Hells going on. The people who follow the laws get screwed. You’re better off not being a tax is working off the box then you’re entitled to everything. Who are the fools, you and. I.

  4. It would seem that if NJ is going to essentially ignore the purpose and requirements of Real ID that the appropriate response by the TSA would be to disallow the use of NJ documents as travel ID. I expect we’ll be using passports for ID to fly real soon.
