Trenton NJ, the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) has announced a commercial vehicle travel restriction on multiple interstate highways, effective Saturday, February 8, at 3 p.m. This restriction comes as a significant winter storm is forecasted to bring snow, sleet, and ice across the state, creating hazardous travel conditions.

- Stay clear of snowplows and salt spreaders
- Do not attempt to pass plows moving in formation
- Allow extra time for travel
- Maintain a safe following distance
- Exercise caution on bridges and ramps, which freeze first
- If road conditions deteriorate, pull off safely and wait it out
- Keep an emergency kit in your vehicle, including a phone charger, water, snacks, a blanket, and other essentials
