New Jersey State Police to Conduct Commercial Vehicle Safety Road Checks

Beginning May 16th the New Jersey State Police will participate in a 72-hour high-visibility, high-volume, commercial motor vehicle inspection and enforcement initiative.

Commercial vehicle inspectors from the United States, Canada, and Mexico will conduct North American Standard Inspections of commercial vehicles with an added focus on ABS (anti-lock braking systems) and cargo securement to highlight the importance of those aspects of vehicle safety.

If you happen to come across one of these roadside inspections remember, if possible, to slow down and move over to allow a safe operating space for troopers to conduct these vital inspections.
