Ridgewood NJ, according to the Village Manager Keith Kazmark in response to resident concerns regarding traffic violations at the intersection of Morningside and Hamilton Roads, our Traffic Signal Division striped bump outs to slow vehicles and further regulate control at the intersection this week. Thanks to the residents, Citizens Safety Advisory Committee ( CSAC ) chaired by Councilwomen Lorraine Reynolds , the Ridgewood Police Department, Engineering and Signal for working together to make us a safer community.
The Citizens Safety Advisory Committee makes recommendations to the Council on issues concerning pedestrian, bicycle and vehicular safety on all roads and thoroughfares located in the Village including the use of parks and open space whether owned by the Village of other governmental entity. To promote awareness of and education on questions of pedestrian, bicycle and vehicular safety on the public streets and lands located in the Village aimed at improve the safe travel of all persons within the boundaries of the Village.
