New York NY, the latest US Census estimate of the state population, New York is down more than 2.1% from the 2020 Census number, which is also a bigger drop than any other state over that time. Eighteen other states have seen their populations decline since 2020, including four other Northeast states: Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island.
New York state has lost nearly 300,000 more people to other states than it gained, according to the Census. The only state to lose more population to other states was California, which has nearly double New York’s population.
The data release doesn’t specify which parts of the state bore the brunt of the population loss, though in 2021, but downstate fared far worse than upstate when it came to migration.
Florida and Texas had the highest population growth in 2022. Texas became the second state to break 30 million in population, per Census estimates. And Florida, which passed New York less than a decade ago in population, is now more than 2.5 million residents ahead of the Empire State, with a population of 22.2 million.

This is the result of one party rule. Democrats destroy everything they touch.
Heres a few examples of NJ dopes in trenton:
Passes unconstitutional law (that will be overturned) banning legal gun owners from exercising their constitution right (while failing to prosecute criminals with guns)
Bans landlords from performing criminal backround checks on prospective tenants (try collecting rent from a violent ex-con before they scare all your good tenants away)
Bans insurance companies from giving preferable rates to good drivers
Brought to you by the libtards who banned food stores from using paper bags.
The number of my friends who have ‘exiled’ to Florida for 181 days per year increases all the time. While they still maintain a home in NJ (subsidizing those using the schools), they spend the required 181 days in a tax friendly state. During that time, these people . all of whom have plenty of disposable income, are spending it on goods and services elsewhere. NJ businesses suffer from lack of sales, and the state is missing out on sales taxes revenue. At some point many will decide to make a complete exit, and hopefully for them there will be a sucker from NYC willing to buy their house.
Also, NJ penalizes those who are single, whether by choice, or widow/widower without children with their tax penalty for estates. If you name a spouse or child in the will, the exemption is the same as federal. If you leave it to a significant other (not married), neice, nephew, or friend, the state clips the estate of 17%. Thats correct. SEVENTEEN percent. Despite these folks subsidizing the families with children in school, they impose a death tax.
So NJ is run by a bunch of fools who do not understand economics. Keep chasing out those with the $$$ and you’ll run out of revenue to fund your sanctuary blue state.
That’s because they harp on the ESTATE TAX, but seem to forget mentioning the INHERITANCE TAX.
People moving south but climate change will force them back north in a few years…

Lol
Manhattan was supposed to be underwater 30 years ago and then we were supposed to be heading for another ice age
The media narrative is false.
Keep changing the name, but the bs is just that.
Global warming is now climate change.
Illegal aliens are now undocumented persons.
Women are now birthing persons.
Criminals robbing honest citizens are getting their reparations.
You liberals are sick people.
Listen everyone wants to be close to New York City that’s where all the great jobs are. Back in the 70s you couldn’t give away a piece of property from Edgewater Street down to Jersey City. Now look, people are moving out of that area to Ridgewood because it’s cheaper to get that one out. Look what’s going on in Brooklyn very expensive now. Now they’re going from The city to Queens, and approaching back into the Bronx what’s one to do
Anyone who thinks spending 183 (not 181) days per year in another state escapes NJ taxation I hope they studied the chapter on Domicile. Sometimes I think it would be fun to work for taxation just to do these examinations.
One can have many domiciles but one place of abode.
NJ can kiss my ass, I’m out of here 183 days.
