NJ State Police Search for Garden State Parkway Fatal Hit and Run Suspect

Middletown Township NJ, the New Jersey State Police is seeking the public’s assistance with a fatal hit-and-run motor vehicle crash investigation that occurred on Garden State Parkway in Middletown Township, Monmouth County.

On February 14, 2025, at approximately 5:58 p.m., a Honda Pilot was traveling southbound on the Garden State Parkway express lanes near milepost 112.8. While the vehicle was in motion, the front-seat passenger exited the vehicle and was subsequently struck by multiple unknown vehicles that failed to stop at the scene. As a result of the crash, the passenger, Jose Cerda-Estevez, a 33-year-old male from Plainfield, NJ, sustained fatal injuries.
Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or the events prior to or following the crash is asked to contact Troop “D” Holmdel Station – Detective Bureau at 732-441-4500 ext. 7417.

    The cars that hit the man should have stopped. The deceased is causing problems for lots of people.
