Ocean City NJ, New Jersey’s tourism industry looks to be on its way to a strong summer ahead on the heels of a banner Independence Day weekend Jersey Shore regions including Monmouth County, Ocean County and Cape May County reported a noticeable uptick in visitor arrivals throughout the weekend, with Monmouth and Ocean counties seeing up to 95% hotel occupancy and 100% Airbnb occupancy. Cape May reported their best 4th of July weekend since 2021, while the Wildwoods, Stone Harbor, Sea Isle City and Avalon all drew better than anticipated crowds of happy visitors.

NJ State Police Seeking to Return Stolen Pieces of Jewelry to Owners

Ridgewood NJ, the New Jersey State Police have recovered several pieces of jewelry during a motor vehicle stop in Monmouth County and are seeking to return the recovered items to the owners.
On August 11, troopers from Troop “C” Hamilton Station stopped a vehicle reported stolen out of Howell Township in Millstone Township. During the stop, troopers recovered several pieces of stolen jewelry within the vehicle.

Middletown NJ, Authorities arrested a Middletown (Monmouth County) woman they said repeatedly vandalized houses of worship in the township and then resisted arrest. Natalee Hamilton, 34, was taken into custody on July 28 after she became “uncooperative and violent” and assaulted three officers, according to the Middletown Township Police Department.

Englishtown NJ, News 12 reports that Health officials in Monmouth County say there was a potential case of measles exposure at an Englishtown restaurant. Officials warn that  if you were at Rosalita’s Roadside Cantina Friday around lunch time, you may be at risk for the measles. The exposure to measles would have happened between 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.Officials say the unidentified person from Middlesex County dined at the restaurant.

Charges against the Whale are Pending in Jersey Shore Boat Sinking

Deal NJ, the New Jersey State Police have reported :

“that suddenly the great beast was before them! He was ten stories high if he was a foot!”

Yes, folks, earlier today, two people in a 20-foot boat were fishing approximately one mile off of Deal, Monmouth County when they had a close encounter with a whale. The whale surfaced beneath the vessel, causing it to capsize.
Both occupants fell overboard as a result, but fortunately no one was hurt. Troopers from the New Jersey State Marine Services Bureau are conducting the vessel accident investigation.
Charges against the whale are pending its apprehension.
