Montvale NJ, the New Jersey State Police is seeking the public’s assistance with a fatal motor vehicle crash investigation that occurred on the Garden State Parkway on June 17th.
Based on the preliminary investigation, detectives determined that at approximately 7:08 p.m., a 2013 silver Toyota Venza was traveling northbound on the Garden State Parkway in the area of milepost 172.3, Montvale Borough, Bergen County. A dark-colored BMW with an unknown NY license plate traveling north in the area struck the right side of the Toyota causing the vehicle to run off the left side of the roadway and strike several trees, causing fatal injuries to the driver of the Toyota. The operator of the BMW fled the scene.
Anyone with information or who may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact Troop “D” Bloomfield Station at 732-441-4500 ext. 3400. Anonymous tips are welcome.
