Bayonne NJ, the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) Board today approved tax credits under the Aspire Program for 1888 Studios in Bayonne. The studio, developed by Togus Urban Renewal, will be the largest and first campus-style film and television studio facility in the Northeast, and will occupy 58 acres of land just minutes from New York City.

New 1888 Studios in Bayonne as Designated as the First NJEDA Film-Lease Partner Facility

Bayonne NJ, The New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) Board today designated 1888 Studios in Bayonne, developed by Togus Urban Renewal, LLC, as a Film-Lease Partner Facility. The designation agreement, which commits the developer to occupying the facility for at least five years and grants future tenants eligibility to apply for increased tax credits for projects filmed at the facility under the Film and Digital Media Tax Credit program, marks a pivotal moment in New Jersey’s evolution as an emerging force in film and television production.

‘Hollywood on the Kill van Kull’ 1888 Studios will be built at the former Texaco site in Bayonne

Bayonne NJ , often referred to as , ‘Hollywood on the Kill van Kull’ 1888 Studios will be built on 70 acres at the former Texaco site in Bayonne.1888 Studios will make Bayonne home to the largest film and television studio in the state. The decision to build the studio originates from the long-time wish to give a new life to an empty and unused property near Bayonne Bridge, on the southwest edge of the city. The city’s leaders have settled to bring a taste of Hollywood-style movie charm to Bayonne.
