A recent report conducted on the potency of cannabis and the increased risk of psychosis and addiction has 10th District Legislators saying “I told you so” to marijuana advocates. Recreational sales of marijuana are now available statewide, however, Senator Jim Holzapfel and Assemblymen Greg McGuckin and John Catalano stand firmly in their opposition to this change.

New Jerseyans Debate Self-service Gas : To Pump or Not to Pump , that is the Question

Ridgewood NJ, New Jersey lawmakers are considering letting the state’s residents pump their own gas for the first time in decades – except hardly anyone actually wants to.

Some 73% of Jersey residents said they still want someone to pump their gas for them, according to a new Rutgers-Eagleton poll released Thursday. Just 22% of respondents said they’d rather pump their own.

Legislation introduced last week would give gas stations the option to offer self-service pumps, the first time since the 1940s that locals would have that choice. (New Jersey remains one of only two states to keep people from filling their own tanks.)

Trenton NJ, Senator Kristin Corrado (R-40) released the following statement on the Fiscal Year 2022 state budget approved by the Senate,“Today’s $46.4 billion budget vote is the epitome of opaque government in Trenton. In-Person Voting with Photo ID Is the Only Way to Prevent Voter Fraud

The controversy over the mail-in ballot process and the many issues resulting from the July primary has the 10th District Legislators very concerned for the integrity of the November General Election.  Senator Jim Holzapfel and Assemblymen Greg McGuckin and John Catalano stress the importance of in-person voting and point to their legislation which requires voter ID before voting at a polling place.
