Maywood NJ, Maywood police are seeking answers after a dog was found abandoned, tied to a street pole on Monday evening. Maywood Police Chief Terence Kenny reported that officers responded to a distress call about a stranded dog at the intersection of Golf Avenue and Steward Street around 7:20 p.m.

Contractor Intervenes in Dog Attack of a Child in Teaneck

Teaneck NJ, according to Teaneck Deputy Police Chief Andrew McGurr,  officers responded to a report of a 4-year-old girl being attacked by a dog at about 3:14 p.m. in the driveway at 137 Voorhees Street.  “The mother reported to the officers that a loose brown-haired pit bull had just attacked her and her daughter as the mother was attempting to remove her daughter from a car seat in the rear of their vehicle,” Deputy Chief Andrew McGurr said. “A contractor, who was working on the block and heard the commotion, came to their aid and was able to get the dog to flee the scene.”

Bergen County Animal Control and Fair Lawn Police Raid Home on 30th Street

Fair Lawn NJ, on November 8th , the Fair Lawn Police responded on 10/09/22 to a residence on 30th Street  after receiving a complaint of multiple animals in the residence that were not cared for.  Officers, with Bergen County Animal Control, found multiple cats and dogs that were uncared for. Lt. James Krizek took over the investigation and charged Julie Alaimo, age 37 of Fair Lawn, with 23 counts of animal cruelty. 21 cats and 2 dogs were removed by Animal Control.
