Bergen Municipalities to Receive $351,302,264.45 in COVID Relief

Washington DC, U.S. Senators Bob Menendez and Cory Booker (both D-N.J.) today released a county-by-county and town-by-town breakdown of the $10.189 billion in direct, flexible, federal assistance to state and local governments allocated to New Jersey in the American Rescue Plan.  The final funding formula targets federal resources to areas with the greatest need and is modeled after Sen. Menendez’s bipartisan SMART Act, cosponsored by Sen. Booker, netting New Jersey around $1 billion more than had the money been distributed by population.

COVID outbreak at Dellridge nursing home in Paramus

Paramus NJ, an outbreak of COVID-19 at the Dellridge Health & Rehabilitation Center in Paramus has left two residents dead.  Dellridge  has confirmed cases of 36 residents and five staff members. State and local heath officials are currently investigating.

Judge Rules Bellmawr Gym can continue to operate Despite Executive order to Remain Closed

Bellmawr NJ, Ian Smith and Frank Trumbetti  appeared before a judge on Monday and the judge ruled that they can continue to keep their doors open.

The owners of a Bellmawr gym who were in violation of Gov. Phil Murphy’s executive order to remain closed had first closed in March under a statewide emergency order, the gym opened without permission on May 18 and then padlocked by the state on May 22 under a court order.
