The New Jersey Outdoor Alliance on Wednesday released a statement calling a proposal penalizing park goers with a $10,000 fine “preposterous” and instead released a counterproposal to re-open the state’s parks with responsible social distancing measures and public education factors in place.

Paramus NJ, The membership of the Veterans of Foreign Wars is closely monitoring the COVID 19 situation at the Paramus and Menlo Park Memorial Homes and its effects on the veterans, spouses and Gold Star families residing in the homes. We all mourn the deaths and promise to every family member that we will use every resource available to ensure adequate staffing, funding, and procedures to care for those ill and prevent future infections. Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood students Maiah Riedel and Emily Scharfenberg won Middle School Best Film at the Count Basie Teen and College Film Fest 2020 for their documentary, Unbridled.
The film was showcased at this year’s virtual film fest, which ran from March 30 through April 6. The two student filmmakers attend Benjamin Franklin Middle School (BF), where they have been active members of the Film Club for the past two years. Unbridled is the story of a Mustang training and rescue facility located in Allendale that also serves as a wellness center for veterans with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
