Ridgewood NJ,in a controversial move, Chaz Littljohn has received a lenient plea deal from the Biden Department of Justice (DOJ) despite being accused of a significant data breach involving taxpayer information. Littljohn was charged with a single count of stealing tax returns, even though the DOJ initially stated that he had stolen up to 15 years’ worth of returns from thousands of taxpayers. Recent revelations now confirm that he stole returns from at least 50,000, and potentially up to 70,000, taxpayers.

This legal action would escalate the Biden administration’s ongoing antitrust crackdown on major US technology firms. Currently, the Justice Department is already pursuing a lawsuit against Google for monopolistic practices, while the Federal Trade Commission is actively investigating antitrust allegations against Meta (formerly Facebook) and Amazon.

DOJ finds Poor Care at New Jersey State-run Veterans Homes During COVID Pandemic

Paramus NJ,  State Senator Michael Testa, Jr. slammed Governor Phil Murphy and former DOH Commissioner Judy Persichilli after a bombshell report was released Thursday by the Department of Justice and U.S. Attorney’s office for New Jersey. The report indicates that there were inadequate pandemic infection control measures and medical care at two New Jersey state-run veterans homes during the COVID-19 pandemic. It was determined that these actions, or lack thereof, violated the U.S. Constitution.

Washington DC, the Justice Department filed a lawsuit today against Space Exploration Technologies Corporation (SpaceX) for discriminating against asylees and refugees in hiring. The lawsuit alleges that, from at least September 2018 to May 2022, SpaceX routinely discouraged asylees and refugees from applying and refused to hire or consider them, because of their citizenship status, in violation of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA).

Ridgewood NJ, Bird flu is driving egg prices higher and the egg shortage has people scrambling . Nationally, the poultry industry lost around 36 million hens from February through September from the avian flu. Both demand and retail prices are higher than in previous years because of inflation, said Egg-News.com. Unseasonably high prices are expected to continue through fall and decline as flocks are restocked.
