Fair Lawn NJ, A pedestrian was stuck and killed on Route 208 southbound near Fair Lawn Avenue, Fair Lawn on Sunday evening, 04/14. A marked Bergen County Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicle with heavy front end damage and leaking engine fluid was observed stationed immediately adjacent to where the victim was pronounced dead on the highway. Fair Lawn Police and Fair Lawn EMS personnel were observed at the scene along with multiple uniformed officers from the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department.
Fair lawn NJ, These clothes were found, as is, today.. 25 feet from our garage… and about 500 feet from route 208. Local police were called, the officer who came out said no ID in the clothing … nothing can be done. We feel it’s a bit bizzarre how they were all clumped up… and seemingly … deliberately stashed in the wooded area behind our garage and where our daughter plays with her friends….. many others seem to think it’s the work of paramedics cutting the clothes off a trauma victim etc… which makes sense… I see it… but clumped all together, way off the highway… literally… almost in our backyard… makes no sense…my neighbors are unsettled… my family is unsettled….and…. if anyone recognizes this outfit, and feels as if it’s something more serious than a random paramedic, or crash victim disposing of their clothes …. 500 feet from the shoulder of a major highway, in a patch of woods….here you go… We have lived here a long time .. I have seen many accidents on 208 myself… firsthand, right near here…. we are in this wooded area very often… and this is something very out of the ordinary that seems really questionable. I guess this is my last ditch effort…. but, God forbid it is as sinister as it appears to be….. we would want someone doing the same if it were one of our loved ones, or our daughter who once wore the clothes. Maybe it’s a prank, or high school kids brought it all here from the highway…. but it wasn’t the wind, and it wasn’t animals.. they were all found clumped up together, in the woods… near, a small creek…. a natural gas Pipeline… a major highway and our actual, backyard. That said, as parents…. it’s hard to act like this isn’t creepy. Hopefully there’s a reasonable explanation. But, animals and wind don’t ball it all up like actual dirty laundry.

A MESSAGE FROM NICHOLAS J. NORCIA, SUPERINTENDENT OF FAIR LAWN PUBLIC SCHOOLS
December 4, 2018
Dear Fair Lawn Parents/Guardians:
In an effort to remain as transparent as possible, I would like to provide you with an update following the threat made against Thomas Jefferson Middle School yesterday, December 3, 2018.
As an educator, administrator, and most importantly a parent, I understand it can be frustrating not having all the details of the incident. At times, however we need to follow the recommendations of the local authorities, while not compromising the investigation by the police and administration. As always, our students and staff’s safety is our number one priority.
As detailed in my letter home last night, there was an increased police presence at all of Fair Lawn Public Schools today, especially at Thomas Jefferson Middle School. Mr. Weaver and Mr. Grubman greeted every student and parent who dropped off their child this morning, followed by a meeting with the faculty. In addition, Mr. Weaver also met with all students during their lunch periods to reinforce for them that their physical and emotional safety is his top priority.
Although we were more vigilant than ever today, in light of the threat made against TJMS, the students and staff had a regular day and all activities commenced like any other day at TJMS.
This is an ongoing investigation and the Fair Lawn Police Department is following up on some leads of the person responsible. Also, until further notice, we will continue to have an increased police presence at Thomas Jefferson Middle School. When I have additional information, I will update you in a timely manner.
I want to thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.
Sincerely,
Nicholas J. Norcia
