Waimea, Hawaii yesterday an emergency alert was sent at 8:07 a.m.,”BALLISTIC MISSILE THREAT INBOUND TO HAWAII. SEEK IMMEDIATE SHELTER. THIS IS NOT A DRILL,” the emergency alert read.

Hawaii says ballistic missile threat alert was false alarm. Residents of Hawaii were thrown into a panic Saturday morning after the state sent an emergency alert warning of a ballistic missile threat. But officials minutes later said that it was a mistake.

“NO missile threat to Hawaii,” the state’s Emergency Management Agency tweeted at 8:20 local time (1:20 ET) , but the follow-up alert to state that it was a false alarm wasn’t sent until 8:46 a.m, ouch…

George Washington Middle School “Fire Alarm” Termed Malicious

Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood Police report that both the Ridgewood Police and Fire Department responded the G.W. Middle School on January 8, to investigate an activated alarm of fire. Upon arrival and it was determined the fire alarm was activated maliciously. The school staff and the Ridgewood Detective Bureau are investigating the false public alarm incident.

Washington Twp Police and Fire Respond to a False Alarm on Hampton Court

Washington Twp NJ, Washington Twp Police , Fire and EMT’s responded to what appeared to a false alarm on Hampton Court at around 3pm on Tuesday 10/3 .Police received a call from an elderly women claiming to be in trouble. After repeated attempts were made to reach the women , Police and Fire used a latter to enter the townhouse only to find it empty with no sign of the women . Whereabouts of the women was is as of yet is undetermined , but her car was also missing from her garage .

Update : Women returned to her home around 530pm and was then recontacted by Washington Twp . Police .

False Alarm Set off by Contractors summons Ridgewood  Police

Ridgewood NJ, The owner of a store front business establishment on East Ridgewood Avenue in Ridgewood inadvertently tripped his hold-up/panic alarm, and then failed to provide the correct “all clear” password to his central station alarm provider early Thursday afternoon, 09/17.

The first uniformed Ridgewood PD officer dispatched to the incident encountered a locked front door and observed the owner inside with two (2) adult males. Based on the circumstances at hand, numerous backup units were summoned to the scene. As the unknown males exited the premises, they were surrounded and detained until it was determined that they were contractors working for the owner, who had erroneously provided an incorrect “all clear” password to his central station alarm provider. No shots fired, no body slams by RPD – true professionals.
