Newark NJ, the Mercy House, a resource and referral center of the Archdiocese of Newark, celebrated its first “Christmas in July” by distributing hundreds of free toys and ice cream to families in need at its Newark location (620 Clinton Ave.) on July 22.

30 NEW JERSEY NONPROFITS INCLUDING HEALTHBARN IN RIDGEWOOD TO RECEIVE $17.5 MILLION IN GRANTS FOR PROGRAM SUPPORTING RESTAURANTS AND FAMILIES IN NEED

Ridgewood NJ, The New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) today announced plans to award grants totaling $17.5 million to 30 nonprofit organizations including HealthBarn Foundation in Ridgewood through Phase 3 of its successful Sustain & Serve NJ program. Sustain & Serve NJ provides eligible entities with grants to support the purchase of meals from New Jersey restaurants that have been negatively impacted by COVID-19 and the distribution of those meals at no cost to recipients. The additional $17.5 million in awards announced today brings total program funding to $52.5 million.

Columbia Bank’s Annual Toy Drive Delivers Happiness to Families in Need Throughout New Jersey

FAIR LAWN NJ , Once again this year, Columbia Bank brought the spirit of the holiday  season to hundreds of families in need by participating in its annual Toy Drive. The Bank collected new toys, gift cards  and money from employees, which were donated to organizations throughout New Jersey in December.
