Newark NJ, New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey today announced that a runway that had been closed for a planned rehabilitation at Newark Liberty International Airport will reopen 13 days ahead of schedule, allowing regular runway operations to resume at Newark Liberty on Monday, June 2. The Port Authority continues to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in its efforts to return capacity to the airport.

Assemblyman DePhillips Calls for Legislative Hearing With Federal Aviation Officials Following White House Drone Statement

Trenton NJ, Assemblyman Christopher DePhillips, the first lawmaker to introduce a resolution requesting a drone investigation, is now calling on officials from the Federal Aviation Administration to testify before lawmakers on the Assembly Transportation and Independent Authorities Committee. The push for a hearing comes after White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt read a statement from President Donald Trump on Tuesday that said the mysterious drones were approved by the FAA for research.

Federal Aviation Administration Approves the LaGuardia AirTrain

New York NY, the Federal Aviation Administration has approved the LaGuardia AirTrain clearing the way to provide a reliable, predictable and non-polluting rail link to LaGuardia Airport.

Port Authority Executive Director said in a statement ,”We thank the FAA for conducting an exhaustive and independent environmental review that benefited from extensive input and engagement from the public and the local community during the two-year long EIS process. LaGuardia Airport is the only major airport on the East Coast without a rail mass transit link, and it is way past time for that embarrassment to end. ”
