Glen Rock NJ, on Sunday March 26th at 5:06 AM , Glen Rock Police Patrols were dispatched to Nottingham Road after a resident confronted a male subject attempting to enter a vehicle in their driveway. The subject, described only as a male wearing a white hat, ran off when the resident yelled out to him and fled the area in a dark-colored vehicle towards Fair Lawn. Officers from Glen Rock and Fair Lawn checked the area with negative results. The resident was unable to access their home video surveillance system at the time of the report. They will attempt to do so and provide any images to police at a later time.

Glen Rock NJ, a Nissan Rogue crashed into a utility pole on Route 208 northbound at Harristown Road in Glen Rock late Saturday night, 03/25. The vehicle’s driver and a passenger were transported to The Valley Hospital by a Glen Rock EMS ambulance. Injuries were reported to be non life threatening in nature. Glen Rock Police investigated the crash. Fair Lawn Police also responded to the incident. A flatbed tow truck removed the heavily damaged SUV from the scene. No damage was apparent to the utility pole.

Glen Rock NJ, on March 3rd 10:49 AM – A representative of a company owning an office building on the 100 block of Harristown Road reported a suspicious individual who had been walking around the interior of the building the prior afternoon. When confronted, the individual first stated that they were looking to rent office space, at which time the representative provided contact information for the managing real estate agent. It was later learned that the individual continued walking around the building, approaching other tenants, giving each person a different explanation of their reason for being inside the building.

Glen Rock NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of DAVID ROMERO (DOB: 11/22/1998; single; factory worker) of 594 E. 39th Street, Paterson, NJ for leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident resulting in death, endangering an injured victim, and hindering apprehension. The charges are the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Glen Rock Police Department under the direction of Chief Dean Ackermann.

Glen Rock NJ, on Monday January 23rd at 2:55 PM a Glen Rock resident reported they learned of an investment opportunity from a purported professional colleague out of California, who they became acquainted with via social media. The resident made a series of investments totaling $25,100 via bitcoin and initially saw a high return on the investment. However, when the resident became suspicious and sought to withdraw funds from the account, the company, Crocker Wealth Management, stopped responding, and they have been unable to withdraw funds.

Glen Rock NJ, a Glen Rock Police patrol supervisor and patrol officer conducting traffic surveillance in connection with a 01/30 fatal pedestrian hit and run collision on Lincoln Avenue, Glen Rock, spotted a vehicle matching the description of one being sought in connection with the horrific event driving right past the crash site early this morning, 02/01. The vehicle’s driver immediately complied with officers’ commands to pull over one (1) block north of the crash site. Following the officers’ visual inspection the damaged vehicle, and a brief conversation with the driver, it was decided to transport the driver to Glen Rock Police headquarters for questioning. Personnel from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office were notified and responded shortly thereafter to assume command of the vehicle inspection/impounding and suspect interrogation. No arrest has been announced at this time.

Glen Rock NJ, at 6:45 PM , Saturday January 14th a recreation basketball coach reported that the custodian at Byrd School had been confronted by a male subject who was looking into the windows of the school and knocked on the door seeking to enter the building. The custodian alerted the coach of the subject’s presence, however, did not notify police. Following the conclusion of the basketball program the coach contacted Glen Rock police concerning the incident, which had reportedly occurred two hours in the past. It was related that the subject may have been in some form of distress, however, the coach had no contact with the individual who had reportedly left the area shortly after the incident.

Glen Rock NJ, on December 30th 2022 at 4:29 PM , Glen Rock Patrol Units responded to Wilde Park on a report of a dispute in progress involving several male actors. Upon arrival, officers found that the dispute was over the amount of time one group was spending in the tennis courts. Several of the actors had left prior to officers’ arrival and those remaining were calm. No further police action was needed.

Glen Rock NJ, a single vehicle, Wednesday morning, 01/04, crash into a utility pole at the intersection of Route 208 northbound and Harristown Road, Glen Rock, caused a communications cable to drop across the entire width of Route 208, stopping traffic on the busy highway in both directions for over one (1) hour. No injuries were reported in the crash; a flatbed tow truck removed the heavily damaged vehicle from the intersection.

Glen Rock NJ, Glen Rock Police officers conducted a intensive investigation of a motor vehicle vs. bicyclist collision that took place in the 100 block of Delmar Avenue, Glen Rock on Wednesday afternoon, 12/28. The victim sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center’s main campus. A paramedic team from The Valley Hospital assisted Glen Rock EMS EMTs.
