NJ Motor Vehicle Commission Extensions Have Run their Coarse

Ridgewood NJ, after multiple extensions, due to COVID 19 the expiration date for most NJ driver’s licenses, registrations and inspections that had been set to expire in 2020 is now here. NJ MVC says extensions run out for expired licenses and registrations Dec. 31.  The NJ Motor Vehicle Commission previously extended that expiration date to Dec. 31 for documents that would have expired between June 1 and Aug. 31. The documents covered by the extensions included standard driver’s licenses, permits, non-driver IDs, vehicle registrations, inspections and temporary tags.

Trenton NJ, Governor Phil Murphy and New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission Chief Administrator Sue Fulton have announced that due to the COVID-19 outbreak and to protect the public, the MVC will extend expiration dates for driver licenses, registrations, and inspection stickers.
