Ridgewood NJ, This is Mayor Ramon Hache with a very important message. We have just been informed of the third confirmed case of COVID-19 in Ridgewood. The latest confirmed case is a 20 year old female. While the confirmation of additional cases is of great concern, I want to urge everyone to please remain calm. This is the time to work together to contain and prevent the spread of the virus. I urge you to please continue to exercise appropriate social distancing measures. It is the most effective thing we can do to avoid being infected or infecting others. Please continue to adhere to the recommendations of the CDC with regard to washing hands, disinfecting surfaces, and avoiding large gatherings. Common sense is still the best defense. We will continue to provide the latest information through our website, social media, text messages and telephone. We are also working on setting up an informational stream on the cable channels for any residents who do not have access to email, social media or text.
